Having undergone a painstaking 4,000-hour restoration spanning six years, this airframe was completely revitalised with all woodwork re-glued using high-strength T-88 epoxy and fitted with new plywood. The exterior is finished in high-quality Ceconite and Poly-Fiber with a classic Poly-Tone paint scheme, ensuring both durability and a period-correct aesthetic. Under the cowling, the engine has been thoroughly refreshed with new piston rings, seals, and an overhauled carburettor and magnetos, complemented by a modern B&C alternator and a new exhaust system.
With only 170 hours flown since its 2016 upgrade, the aircraft remains in sound condition, featuring a 2016 Hercules propeller that, coupled with a more powerful 145 hp Gipsy Major 10 Mk.II engine, delivers exceptional performance. Set up for the serious aviator, this Puss Moth is a true long-range tourer, equipped with high-capacity 106-litre wing tanks and an additional 80-litre ferry tank—providing a total fuel capacity of 292 litres. The exacting standards of its recent reconstruction and full AD compliance coupled with its utility focussed upgrades, make this one of the more desirable and at the same time highly practical vintage flying machines on the market today.
